Please bring a light snack or drink to share.  If you have a drum,  please bring your drum!
Please note:  this is not a religious gathering, however, we do honor spirit and seek our individual connection to spirit.  We follow a Wiiccan format of recognizing elements and spirit.  We call forth any and all deities that participants wish to welcome.  There is no forced or expected participation of any sort.  You will be asked for trust.  Please leave all information that is shared by participants within the circle, never to be shared outside of the circle.

We all have a dance living in our bodies which does not belong to any one discipline, which is absolutely unique to each of us. In this workshop we will journey deep within ourselves to free it.

We will create a safe, sacred environment in which we are encouraged to feel our vulnerabilities and express our strengths, and will move through guided meditations both in silence and with music. We will go forth into the unknown, giving permission to ourselves to let go of the rulebook and truly be danced.
Whether a beginning-level seeker, a seasoned ecstatic dancer, or anywhere in between, this session will inspire and empower your personal creative process. Hopefully we will all have some fun along the way!  Bring a notebook or journal; as time and interest allows, we will share our experiences with one another.

Mz Meaghan Tiggrr Fearless is a longtime student of moving poetry.  She offers herself to the community as a performer, event producer, teacher, and temple priestess with the intention of inspiring others' self-expression thru mad dancefloor mojo. She is a founder of the infamous Freek Factory artist collective, Church, and Body Temple, and

a core dancer with Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms Theater, CoSM, Akim Funk Buddha's Dha Fuzion, Soul Fire and Sub Swara. She has also performed ritual theater with the Mythmakers at Shambhala Music Festival, danced onstage at Red Rocks with Spearhead, and pounded dancefloors and headspaces at festivals and underground experiences too numerous and/or weird to list .  She offer limitless gratitude for all the inspiration.

The art of making it weird (slow, lovely, and strange)

We are going to ride the edge between exquisite and strange in this slow movement workshop. All that ooey gooey stuff that is so fun and delicious to watch and do will be focused on, using elements from the head down through to the fingertips. We will be focusing on super slow isolations, extreme undulations, and upper body technique. Hand work, elbow work, wrist work, posture, oblique strengthening (to get that horizontal pull that makes mayas and hip slides so exquisite and strange) , belly rolls with emphasis on stomach musculature. And of course the elusive flutter!

Womens' Mysteries

Womens Mysteries
New Moon Ritual for Women

Saturday, February 13th, 7pm

Facilitated by:
Mz Imani (SoulFire, Rhythm Shamans)
and Sera Solstice (East Coast Tribal, Rhythm Shamans)

Ritual for the urban woman...a time of connection to the intuitive self, to set forth desire and goals.

On this new moon, we harken back to the days of the Red Tent, where women gathered privately to find nourishment with sharing of stories, art, music, dance, healing and sisterhood. The purpose of this time is to connect to our innate wisdom, to re-frame our individual challenges into opportunities and envision ways to grow our dreams. Through guided meditation, trance, writing, drumming, song and dance and ritual, we work to clear a path to our own hearts.

Mz Imani has offered New York an amazing gift as a facilitator of CoSM's full Moon and new moon gatherings. We are honored to have her presence monthly, as a shaman, priestess, elder, drummer and facilitator for one of the core events at Solstice Studio.

Womens' Mysteries is a ritual which is intended to support each woman to find core strength, connect to intuition, to re-set, reclaim, re-ignite desires, goals, ideas, love and empowerment.

Please meditate on what you want to build in this upcoming moon cycle, so that you are clear about your intentions.

Please bring a small healthy snack to share, such as one piece of fruit that can be sliced up, a bowl of Quinoa or brown rice, raw veggies, etc.
